North West Wiradjuri Language and Culture Nest

For the purpose of reporting a range of information from the Australian Censuses of Population and Housing, the North West Wiradjuri Language and Culture Nest includes the Local Government Areas of Parkes, Narromine, Wellington, Dubbo, Gilgandra and Mid-Western Regional. No claim is made that this boundary is exact or uncontested.

Gumbaynggirr Language and Culture Nest

For the purpose of reporting a range of information from the Australian Censuses of Population and Housing, the Gumbaynggirr Language and Culture Nest is described to include the Local Government Areas of Coffs Harbour, Clarence Valley , Glen Innes, Severn Guyra, Nambucca and Bellingen at the 2016 Census. No claim is made that this boundary is exact or uncontested.

Bundjalung Language and Culture Nest

For the purpose of reporting a range of information from the Australian Censuses of Population and Housing, the Bundjalung Language and Culture Nest includes the Local Government Areas of Ballina, Byron, Lismore, Richmond Valley, Tenterfield, Tweed, Clarence Valley, Glenn Innes-Severn and Kyogle. No claim is made that this boundary is exact or uncontested.

Gamilaraay/Yuwaalaraay/Yuwaalayaay Language and Culture Nest

For the purpose of reporting a range of information from the Australian Censuses of Population and Housing, the Gamilaraay-Yuwaalaraay-Yuwaalayaay Language and Cultural Nest is described to include the Local Government Areas of Walgett, Brewarrina and Moree Plains at the 2016 Census. No claim is made that this boundary is exact or uncontested.

Paakantji/Baakantji Language and Culture Nest

For the purpose of reporting a range of information from the Australian Censuses of Population and Housing, the Paakantji/Baakantji Language and Culture Nest includes the Local Government Areas of Central Darling, Bourke, Wentworth and Unincorporated NSW. No claim is made that this boundary is exact or uncontested.

Indigenous location portraits

Indigenous location portraits cover one or more Statistical Areas Level 1 (SA1s) as defined in the Australian Statistical Geography Standard. The portraits give detailed information on Aboriginal communities with a minimum Aboriginal population of 90 usual residents.
