The NSW Government is committed to a 12-month consultation process with Aboriginal communities on their aspirations for a Treaty framework or other formal agreement making process, to be led by three dedicated Commissioners.
Aboriginal businesses are being invited to a special Aboriginal Business Roundtable event in Wagga Wagga on Tuesday 23 April 2024 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

The Aboriginal Business Portal is the new system for easily finding Aboriginal suppliers. The Portal links private and public sector procurers with certified Aboriginal suppliers through an interactive database.
In the Business Portal you will find profiles, capabilities and contacts for Aboriginal businesses in your area and across the state.
The Portal is an initiative under OCHRE (Opportunity, Choice, Healing, Responsibility and Empowerment), the NSW Government plan for Aboriginal affairs. OCHRE aims include increasing the number of Aboriginal people employed and the number of Aboriginal owned businesses.
The Portal is a joint initiative between the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce, the Office of Finance and Services and the Department of Education and Communities - Aboriginal Affairs.
