'Our languages, our way', $200,000 community language grants

17-March-2016

Minister for Aboriginal Affairs Leslie Williams today announced an additional round of grants to support the revitalisation of Aboriginal languages through community-lead initiatives would be offered in 2016.

Mrs Williams said the 'Our Languages, Our Way' Community Language Grants would enable community owned and led organisations to apply for funding of up to $30,000.

Aboriginal organisations across NSW are invited to apply for one-off funding to deliver a language project within their local community, Mrs Williams said.

The grants support the ongoing celebration of Aboriginal culture and cultural revitalisation by assisting Aboriginal organisations to develop and implement language projects in partnership with local communities.
