The NSW Labor Government is delivering on its election commitment to begin consultation about a treaty process with applications open for three commissioners to undertake this work.
The NSW Government is committed to a 12-month consultation process with Aboriginal communities on their aspirations for a Treaty framework or other formal agreement making process, to be led by three dedicated Commissioners.
Aboriginal businesses are being invited to a special Aboriginal Business Roundtable event in Wagga Wagga on Tuesday 23 April 2024 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

The NSW Government is again offering grants for grassroots organisations to run local events in NAIDOC Week, the annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
Minister for Aboriginal Affairs Sarah Mitchell said she is proud the NSW Government is continuing to acknowledge the significance of NAIDOC Week and encourages all eligible organisations to take advantage of this opportunity.
“NAIDOC Week is a unique opportunity to recognise the culture, history and achievements of our First Australians and their contributions to this country,” said Ms Mitchell.
Not-for-profit community groups are invited to apply for funding of up to $3,000. A total of $200,000 is being made available to support NAIDOC activities across NSW.
Grant applications open Tuesday 6 March and close 5pm Friday 20 April 2018.
