NSW CAPO lead regular community engagements around NSW. These engagements will directly inform what actions we take and focus on. See the NSW CAPO website for the latest information and to register for updates.

Aboriginal Business Roundtable

The NSW Closing the Gap Implementation Plan includes an action under Priority Reform Five (Employment, Business Growth and Economic Prosperity) to convene Aboriginal business roundtables. This first event was held in October 2021, during Indigenous Business month, the second Aboriginal business roundtable was held in May 2022 both of the these reports can be found in the links below.

Non-Government Organisation Roundtable

The Non-Government Organisation Roundtable was held in August 2022, the report can be found here.

Aboriginal Business Network Luncheon

The Aboriginal Business Networking Lunch was held on December 15, 2022.
The Luncheon hosted Aboriginal businesses from across the state, allowing them to promote their businesses and also create important connections with other businesses and key government decision makers.
The Minister of Aboriginal Affairs gave an address outlining the NSW Government's ongoing commitment to Priority Reform 5 and also announced the release of the draft Roadmap for Aboriginal Business Growth and opened the public consultation phase.
Three Aboriginal business owners gave short talks on the stories of their businesses, the barriers they overcame and challenges they still face.
